Technical Focus Groups
HLPW-6 work will be conducted within Technical Focus Groups, allowing researchers to actively collaborate to answer key questions posed, using the test cases described.
Participation in HLPW6 occurs through Technical Focus Groups that are relevant to your approach. To join a specific TFG, just e-mail the leader requesting to be added to their distribution list, attend the meetings, and participate.
Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes
This TFG focuses specifically on RANS methodologies. In HLPW-6, this serves as a combined fixed-grid RANS and Adaptive RANS community.

Scale-Resolving
This TFG focuses on time accurate, turbulence resolving solvers, and is a combination of both the Wall-Modeled Large Eddy Simulation TFG, and the Hybrid-RANS-LES TFG from HLPW-5.

The High-Order TFG focuses exclusively on solvers 3rd order accurate, or higher.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
The AI/ML TFG is new for HLPW-6. The scope is still under development, but preliminary emphasis will be on developing surrogate models to cover a large CRM-HL dataset.
